The Captain/Pilot operate a river towboat engaged in the transportation of various commodities on the inland river system.  A Captain or Pilot's areas of responsibility include operation of the vessel, supervision of the crew, maintaining the boat in a safe and seaworthy condition, navigation of the boat, and administration of company policies.
